Lion's Mane Mushroom Latte Recipe

Sharing an easy 4 ingredient Lion's Mane mushroom latte recipe. It's my plant-based coffee alternative favorite to welcome these cool fall mornings we've all been waking up to recently.

As an alternative to coffee, I used green tea on a whim and it was perfect. A creamy warm latte on a cool fall morning without adding the acidity of coffee to the mix. So, this does take a little longer to prep than brewing a quick pot of coffee but it's so worth it!

Most of the 4 ingredients can be found in the grocery store. If you have trouble finding either powder check your local health food or vitamin store. Loose tea is best if you have it available and have a little extra time but a tea bag will work just fine.

Before getting started:

Take all of the ingredients out so nothing is missed.

Get your plant-based milk choice room temperature (or close) ahead of time.

A whisk is great for blending but a frother will give you a nice foam at the top (it tastes great either way!)

If you're making more than 1 serving just double my measurements and be sure to mix well!

Let's make a latte!

Ingredients:

1/2 cup organic green tea (prepare separately)

1 cup oat milk or other plant-based milk of your choosing

1/2 tbsp maca powder

1 tsp lion's mane mushroom powder

  1. Steep one organic green tea bag in 1/2 cup of hot water

  2. Slowly heat oat milk in a small pot until warm and then add tea

  3. Stir in maca powder and mix well using a wooden or heat-safe spoon

  4. Lastly, stir in lion's mane mushroom powder and mix well

  5. (Optional) - Use a frother before transferring to a large or tall mug
